Rules for Promotion to the Year Above

Decisions on promotion to the year above are taken at the end of the school year by the relevant Class Council in accordance with Article 18 of the General Rules of the European Schools.
The Class Council does not reach a decision on the basis solely of the results achieved by the pupil in each subject but on the basis of the overall picture of the pupil as it emerges from all the information available to it.  Parents and students are alerted to the risk of failing the year at the end of the first semester and in the mid-semester 2 school report.
