Girls Can Code! in EIPACA

by | Dec 10, 2023 | News, News

The Ecole International PACA organised a Girls Can Code! event, a free coding workshop. Over the December 2/3 weekend, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., volunteer girls from the schools of Ste Tulle, Forcalquier, Aubagne and Manosque discovered coding in Python language on micro:bit cards.

The goal was to show that coding is simple and fun and within the reach of EVERYONE!

Through this workshop, we hope to have broken the stereotype

Five members of Girls Can Code! organised by the Prologin association, joined by three third-year students from the BUT d’info in Aix including a former student Luca Ceccarelli (Italian section), supervised the girls activities to create computer games.

We thank them for their investment and their availability for a whole weekend.

Coding is great, but with moments of relaxation, the two days were punctuated by fun breaks: breakfast, meal and snack offered, multiple board games, conference, etc.

Congratulations to all the participants who worked in a good spirit and with a lot of seriousness! All the organizers had a great time working with you.
